Textbook Errata

Since this is a first printing of the Cameron text, there are (as is typical of first printings) a number of errors in the text. We shall maintain a list of these here. If you discover one that is not on the list, you can e-mail it to me now with the subject line text error .

In the list below, positive line numbers indicate from the top of the page, while negative ones indicate counting from the bottom of the page.

• pg. 14 line -2 : "Figure 1" should be "Figure 2.1"
• pg. 15 line 7 : "Fig. 1" should be "Fig. 2.1"
• pg. 17 line -2 : change "than" to "that"
• pg. 18 line 17: "Table 1" should be "Table 2.1"
• pg. 18 line 25: "Table 2" should be "Table 2.2"
• pg. 61 line 7 : change "E_i" to "E_1" and "E_n-i" to "E_2"
• pg. 200 line 10: under summation change 1 <= i <= n to 1 <= k <= n
• pg. 202 line 3: change (z,y) to (x,z)
• pg. 219 line 13: change "exceeding" to "less than"
• pg. 230 line 6: change "base" to "bottom"
• pg. 230 line -11: change "108" to "180"
• pg. 236 line 14: T_i should have absolute values around it
• pg. 236 line -17: "permutation G" should be "permutation g"
