- We will now apply everything we have learned about systems of
linear ODEs to systems of nonlinear ODEs. Please read Chaper 6:
undergraduates, at least 6.1-6.4 and 6.7, graduate students the entire
chapter).
- Detailed analysis of a nonlinear system. Please do problem
6.1.3 of the text.
- Analysis and linearization. Do problem 6.3.1 and 6.3.4 of
the text.
- Two-species models. Please do problem 6.4.2 of the text.
- Refined population models. Read problems 6.4.4 and 6.4.5
to see the progression; then do problem 6.4.6.

Just For Fun
The farmer's will read ``I bequeath my 17 cows to my three sons, to be
divided as follows: 1/2 of the cows to my oldest son, 1/3 of my cows to
my middle son and 1/9 of my cows to my youngest son.'' How can this be
done so that each son gets whole number of cows?
