Math 2000 Assignment 8

Fall 2001

Due Wednesday, October 24

Do not wait until the last minute to start the assignment! It’s best to get an early start and work on it in several steps. Do not hesitate to ask for help before the assignment is due! Office hours are on Mondays and Wednesdays immediately before and after class in Science 132, Tuesdays 11-1:00 in CU 611, or by arrangement. Email also works at wbriggs@math.cudenver.edu.

1. It’s time to move on to another topic. We will explore the many important issues involved in conducting and analyzing statistical studies. This material is covered in Chapter 5 of the text, much of which we will discuss in class.

2. Please do the following exercises. This is a minimum recommended dose of exercises. You should work more exercises if you have not mastered the concepts.

Unit 5A: 4, 10, 14, 20, 24, 30, 34, 38.

Just for Fun:
