Do not wait until the last minute to start the assignment! It’s best to get an early start and work on it in several steps. Do not hesitate to ask for help before the assignment is due! Office hours are on Mondays and Wednesdays immediately before and after class in Science 132, Tuesdays 11-1:00 in CU 611, or by arrangement. Email also works at wbriggs@math.cudenver.edu.

1. Please read the important Unit 3A and Unit 3B.

3. Please do the following exercises. This is a minimum recommended dose of exercises. Don’t hesitate to work more exercises if you have not mastered the concepts.

Unit 3A: 22, 30, 36, 48, 50, 62

Unit 3B: 2b, 4e, 6a.

Just For Fun:

A woman bought a horse for $500 then sold it for $600. She bought it back for $700 then sold it again for $800. How much did she gain or lose on these transactions?
