Do not wait until the last minute to start the assignment! It’s best to get an early start and work on it in several steps. Do not hesitate to ask for help before the assignment is due! 1. We have two brief and fun topics to cover: exponential growth and voting. Please read Units 8A, Unit 8B (up to page 474), and Unit 11A.

3. Please do the following exercises. This is a minimum recommended dose of exercises. You should work more exercises if you have not mastered the concepts.

Unit 8A: 2, 4, 8.

Unit 8B: 6, 8, 12.

Unit 11A: 16

Just for Fun:

A group of photographers leaves camp and walk 10 miles south. Then they turn and walk 10 miles due west. At that point they take a picture of a bear and walk 10 miles back to camp. What is the color of the bear?
