before the assignment is due! Office hours are on Mondays and Wednesdays
immediately before and after class in Science 132, Tuesdays 11-1:00 in CU 611,

1. We have two brief and fun topics to cover: exponential growth and voting. Please read Units 8A, Unit 8B (up to page 474), and Unit 11A.
3. Please do the following exercises. This is a minimum recommended dose of exercises. You should work more exercises if you have not mastered the concepts.
Unit 8A: 2, 4, 8.
Unit 8B: 6, 8, 12.
Unit 11A: 16
Just for Fun:
A group of photographers leaves camp and walk 10 miles south. Then
they turn and walk 10 miles due west. At that point they take a picture of a
bear and walk 10 miles back to camp. What is the color of the bear?
