Do not wait until the last minute to start the assignment! It’s best to get an early start and work on it in several steps. Do not hesitate to ask for help before the assignment is due! 1. We are beginning the new topic of probability. Please read Units 7A and 7B of the text.

3. Please do the following exercises. This is a minimum recommended dose of exercises. You should work more exercises if you have not mastered the concepts.

Unit 7A: 4, 8, 18, 22, 24, 26.

Unit 7B: 4, 8, 12, 14.

Just for Fun:

Abe and Zack work together at a slingshot factory for the same wages. One day their boss gives Abe a 10% pay raise and Zack a 10% pay cut. A week later, the boss gave Abe a 10% pay cut and Zack a 10% pay raise. Who earns more now?
