Math 2000 - Assignment 8

Fall 2000

Due November 9

Do not wait until the last minute to start the assignment! It’s best to get an early start and work on it in several steps. Do not hesitate to ask for help before the assignment is due! Office hours are on Tuesdays and Thursdays immediately before and after class in Science 132 or by arrangement. Email also works at wbriggs@math.cudenver.edu.

A. We will start a major topic in the course: probability! Please read Unit 8A. We will cover most of the chapter, so you can look ahead into Units 8B and 8C.

B. Please do the following problems from the book. Remember to show your work, state all assumptions, and please write clearly!

Unit 8A: 8, 10b, 10d, 14b, 14d, 16a, 16c, 28.
