MERC ACCUPLACER Testing Information
[Come to Science Bldg. 130/132!]
Students registering for the following classes
must pass the appropriate ACCUPLACER test:
MATH 1070 [Business Algebra] & MATH 1110 [College Algebra]
MATH 1401 [Calculus I]

- NO appointment is necessary to
take the ACCUPLACER, but you MUST bring your valid Student I.D., proof
of Birth Date (usually, a Driver's License), and a
pencil. [Student I.D.'s are created at the Tivoli Student
Union!]

Need a tune-up before your first or second attempt in the MERC
Lab? We can help! Our seminars help you target any
weaknesses in your knowledge base and provide extra insight on how to
pass the ACCUPLACER.

- Please arrive at the MERC (SI 130/132)
approximately 5
minutes before the beginning of the seminar.
- The Elementary
Algebra [ELALG
for MATH 1070 & 1110] seminar is approximately 2.5 hours in
length.
- The College-Level Math [CLM for MATH 1401]
seminar is approximately 3.5 hours in length.
- If the seminar finishes in the afternoon
hours, then
you may take the ACCUPLACER immediately after the
seminar. This WILL count as one of your two
attempts for the current semester. You are NOT allowed to
take the ACCUPLACER more
than once during a business day.
- NO appointment is
necessary to
attend the seminars! We suggest that you bring a
pencil and something to take notes on.
