Research Activities and Group of Leo Franca We are interested in the development and in the analysis of novel finite element methods for singularly perturbed problems, such as the ones arising in computational fluid dynamics, as well as in problems in acoustics (medium to high wave numbers) and in structural problems (deformation of thin structures). We are developing multiscale finite element methods to capture the different scales present in an application.
