Math 3195: Linear Algebra and Differential Equations

Grading Policy

to succeed in this class:

browsing and READ the following:

I assume you are reading the sections being covered according to the syllabus schedule. They add to the material covered in class.

No quizz make-ups are possible. There is no schedule for the quizzes. They can occur at any time. Tests make-ups only with a very strong justification (and prior notification with a week or two in advance).

Grading appeals are handled on the day I return exams and quizzes. If you leave the room, then it means that you found your grade fair. There is no further possibility of changing your grade other than immediately after receiving your exam. For students that miss class on the day I return exams, they can only claim them in my office, during office hours, subject to the same policy, i.e., any appeals must be made in my office upon receipt of the exam.

All quizzes and tests are closed book and you can not use a calculator to do them. BRING YOUR STUDENT ID for scheduled exams (midterms and final). Random checks may be asked. If you do not bring your student ID, you may get a grade zero on that exam.

Quizzes (4 at 15 pt each) 60 points
