You can dowload the files to your computer for later viewing and reference by pressing the Shift key when clicking on the file in Netscape. I got recently used to carrying the equivalent of a big bookshelf and file cabinet of books, computer manuals, and journal articles inside my computer. By the way, I believe that it is not OK to post downloaded files on the web, even files of your own papers, unless you have reserved this right in the copyright agreement with the publisher.
The online services through Auraria library have improved considerably
since 1999, when this page was first written.
Our librarians have been successful in convincing
some publishers that we should have online access to their journals subscripted
in Boulder (such as on sciencedirect) and are working on more. Both libraries have integrated
online subscription to their catalogs. In fact because many journal are
available more than one way and URLs change often the best way to get to
an online version of a journal is through the library catalog; my links
may be out of date; however there are journals on sites such as
sciencedirect and jstor, which are available in fulltext but linked from the catalog.
