From jmandel@math.cudenver.edu Wed Oct 8 10:16:16 2003 Date: Wed, 8 Oct 2003 10:15:29 -0600 (MDT) From: Jan Mandel To: mathgrads@math.cudenver.edu, mathfaculty@math.cudenver.edu Subject: DOE $28,000/year PhD student stipend I would be interested in working with one or more of our graduate students to apply for DOE Computational Science Graduate Fellowship. The fellowship pays $28,000 stipend per year plus an allowance for research and a computer. Applicants must be US citizens or permanent residents, plan PhD study, and in their first two years of graduate study or exceptional senior undergraduates. The student(s) can work on my project with the Sandia National Laboratory, which would help arrange the required summer internship and greatly increase the chances. The deadline for applications is in January but to line up everything and do it right takes time, so the time to start on the application is NOW. If you are interested or know someone who would be, please contact me right away.
