OPTIMIZATION SEMINAR
NSA Summer Program for Operations Research Technology
Col. Greg Whaley
National Security Agency
Tuesday, Oct. 21, 1997, 12:00 noon
CU-Denver Bldg., Room 626
Abstract
Col. Greg Whaley will describe opportunities for students and faculty
to visit the National Security Agency and work with their regular
staff on applications of various types of mathematics. To be eligible
you must be a U.S. citizen.
For students, you must have completed a year of graduate study (more
is better), and the program is called an "internship." For faculty,
the program is called a "visiting distinguished professor" (but this
does not rule out junior faculty).
In each case the visit is for a summer, but other visits are possible.
Col. Whaley will explain the options and requirements for visiting in
1998.
