ABSTRACT:
We will look at certain possibility distributions over functions from
finite dimensional real vector spaces to the real line, called fuzzy
functions. We will show that these fuzzy functions map vectors to
possibility distributions over the real line, called fuzzy numbers.
Then we will add structure to the space of fuzzy numbers. In
particular, we will show that this space can be partitioned into a
normed space and that this normed space is complete for most
applications.
The talk sometime after this one will focus on applications and
algorithms.
