3. Do not plan to hold a class in the lab. We do not have the room for this.
4. Help is available to students.
a. MERC Lab SI 130 has lab assistants who can help students
with mathematical and technological questions on a first come first
serve basis.
b. Center for Learning Assistance, NC 2006 6-2802. Available
to all UC Denver students enrolled in one or more courses.
5. The lab is equipped with thirty computers. Students may walk in to use any vacant machine or open workspace at any time the lab is open. Students should register for a Math 1999 lab to reserve a computer. All reserved machines not claimed in the first five minutes of a lab period will be made available on a first come basis for the rest of the period.
6. The lab has several tutorials available as free handouts. Feel free to stop by and check them out. If there is something you would like to make available speak to either Mike Kawai or Sean Jenson.
7. Two laser printers are available for use in the lab. Please limit your printing to reasonable levels.
8. Instructors may give quizzes or exams in the lab under supervision by lab assistants. See second hand out.
9. The lab personnel hold staff meetings Fridays from 8:00 am to 8:55 am. Part of these meetings is used to train our personnel to better meet student and faculty needs. Please contact Sean Jenson or Mike Kawai regarding topics you will be covering or special topics your students may be asking in the lab.
10. If you experience any problems or complaints regarding the lab, please report them immediately. We cannot correct what we do not know.
