ABSTRACT
We present a computational method of drag coefficients for axisymmetric
bodies. It is a kind of consistent flux method and the introduction of
a proper test function enables us to establish an error estimate.
Applying the method we obtain precise drag coefficients of the sphere for
the Reynolds numbers between 10 and 200.
The flow field is solved by mixed and stabilized finite element methods.
