Title:

Discontinuous Galerkin Methods for Flow, Reactive Transport, and Mechanics

Abstract:

We discuss the application of discontinuous Galerkin methods to several important problems which include flow and reactive transport in porous media and elasticity. Error estimates for certain model problems will be given as well as as some computational results. In particular we will emphasize what advantages these methods have other currently employed computational approaches.
